Aaand, cue character introduction! When I first read this, I thought “wait, the bear owns a dog?” I totally missed Ted’s “I used to have a fish. I did pretty well with him.”
Of course, now we know that fish are quite daring in the Little Dee universe. It makes me wonder what’s “pretty well” for Ted.
Blake also seems a lot smarter here than he eventually will.
