I’m not so fond of the added history of this holiday (I like the original harvest festival idea), but I do love the food and the friends and the family.
And I’m on my way to stay with family now. But, don’t worry, you’ll get ALL of your comics, even on Thanksgiving. :)
Chris, are you maaaybe going to put all these strips into a book some day? Sort of like Tolkien’s Lost Tales? Call it “Little Dee’s Lost Tales”?
Happy Thanksgiving. Good to see Little Dee.
?Suicidal Turkey??
@War_Pig, I imagine I’ll try. For now, just enjoying doing them and not thinking too hard about the outcome.
@Helene, OMG! Hi! Long time no see! Best wishes, you! <3
@Herandar, the Turkey comes to all of their Thanksgivings. I’m confused by your question. :)
I’m reminded of the friend who, due to reasons, ended living with an immigrant Chinese family when Thanksgiving was coming around. They didn’t understand the holiday until my friend mentioned “Harvest festival.”
I managed to get invited to a Chinese harvest festival with a big turkey on the table.
Happy Thanksgiving, all! And we will hope, after last week’s unfortunate donut incident, that Blake will leave some food for the guests, and not harvest it all for himself….
I’ve had Chinese Orange Peking Duck for Thanksgiving. Wonderful.
Happy Thanksgiving, Chris! Me, I’m thankful you’ll be continuing your comics through Thanksgiving. :)
This is the duck I’ve cooked every Thanksgiving and Christmas since 2009, since it lives up to its title: http://www.thehungrymouse.com/2009/02/11/the-best-way-to-roast-a-duck-hello-crispy-skin/
