My ex-neighbors had a parrot who would sit by the back window and squawk and sing Led Zeppelin all day. There was also a group of mocking birds in the neighborhood who would try to mimic the parrot doing the music.
Hearing a mockingbird go back and forth between a red-winged blackbird & “Emigrant’s Song” got truly amusing.
When I hear a mockingbird, I love to (try to) whistle the 5-note coda from ‘Close Encounters’, just to see if per will take it up!
